With mystical beasts wreaking havoc all over the world, people turn to their heroes and legends for much needed help, and at the side of every good, legendary hero is an equally legendary weapon that has been forged, enchanted and, most importantly, mailed and delivered on time. Wyatt, a nine-year-old, world class blacksmith and budding wizard, works in a family owned business creating and delivering legendary weapons with his two older siblings, mother, father and oracles who place orders on behalf of future heroes. With the world on the line, on time delivery is a guarantee… or at least it should be.
Creating weapons for future heroes, dealing with oracles that tell the future, and adventuring through woodlands isn’t the greatest task Wyatt and the family will face. Living their own lives and learning about each other, as well as themselves, as families do is the greatest adventure this story will tell.
Chapter One:
Wyatt was doing just fine forging a sword when, as it normally happens with siblings, his brother inadvertently ruined the last ingredient needed to forge the weapon. Left with no choice, Wyatt sets out with his sister, Jade, to obtain another tooth of a naga (the last ingredient). The traveled the frozen lands and found their way into a cave that was the home of a naga. The three found themselves locked in a raging battle. Wyatt gets pinned down by the naga and just as it is about blast Wyatt with its ice breath, Jade jumps in front taking the brunt of the blast before being swatted away naga. Wyatt gets out and unleashes a powerful lighting attack brining an end to the naga and the battle. After checking on his sister, Jade regains her consciousness and is fine outside of a broken arm. The two head home and discuss Wyatt’s roll in the family business. He’s unsure if forging is what he wants to do and worries what will happen if he decided to take his life into his own hands and leave the business when he got older. Jade gives him sisterly advice to help put Wyatt’s mind at easy.
When the two get home Wyatt forges a blade and Jade delivers the blade, on time, embedded in a rock in a field ready for use just as the oracles wanted.
